The Southfork Community Garden began in 2016. The resident led pilot project was in partnership with the City of Leduc, the local developer and residents of Southfork. In addition, local businesses donated to the project.

The garden is situated near the outdoor rink and off an active walking trail. The garden expanded in 2022, with 60 garden beds now available to the pubic and the addition of a water supply. To give back to the City of Leduc, one garden bed is reserved for the local food bank.

The garden is led by a committee of local volunteers. The committee is a subgroup of Southfork Community Connections. Residents of Southfork can add their name to a yearly waitlist to be selected for a garden bed. There is a small fee associated with renting a garden bed for the summer season.
